Current players that will be a first ballot HOF
All of the HOF talk ha got me thinking, besides Farve is there pretty anybody else currently playing that will be a for sure a first ballot electee, or even for that matter a no brainer to be in the Hall of Fame?
Peyton Manning -I belive is a lock for sure probably first ballot
Urlacher-maybe but not a first ballot
Brady-Lock but noit sure if he is a first ballot
Larry Allen and Will Sheilds-Probably worthy but the HOF is proving that it is hard for OL to get in at all.

Marvin Harrison
LT can manage mediocre years and still get in

Curtis Martin
Marshall Faulk (has not truly retired)
Marvin Harrison
Morton Andersen
Those mentioned above, with the exception of Shields.
Potentials:
Ray Lewis, Jonathan Ogden, Walter Jones, Shields, Champ Bailey, Lorenzo Neal
On the way:
Ed Reed, Chad Johnson, Shaun Alexander, LaDainian Tomlinson
I'm sure there are others.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

But I am curious as to why not Sheilds?
He has been in the Chiefs' starting lineup for every game, which is a team record and the second longest consecutive starting streak in the NFL behind Brett Favre and is a 12 time Pro Bowl player

Re: Current players that will be a first ballot HOF
Do linemen get in on first ballots?
LOL
I feel like an idiot for this one, but K - Adam Vinatieri assuming he plays for another 8-10 years like other good kickers.
The guy has the bling-bling and should have been the MVP instead of Brady for one of those SB victories.
AV is a ?? for first ballot because he is a K, but I think it is a possibility.

Maybe Roaf had the right idea, retire a year or two ahead of Shields, gives him a couple more chances."THEBIGDADDY" wrote:

Re: Current players that will be a first ballot HOF
What about Orlando Pace?
Hell, if Jones and Shields are there then Pace is in front of both of them.
Other than that:
Favre
Manning
Harrison
L.T.
Ray Lewis
Thats it for 1st ballot locks.

Re: Current players that will be a first ballot HOF
How come no one has mentioned Ryan Leaf? Seriously, Brady and Manning are a lock, and so are Ray Lewis, and Strahan. Beyond that, I don't see anyone else being "1st ballot". There are quite a few who are HOF worthy, but not 1st ballot.
