A never was? Have you ever watched a football game? He was close to the best quarterback in the NFL at one time. He almost won the MVP one year. After the comments of a never was, and now talking up the Vikings secondary...I don't know what you are smoking, but send some my way. His arm strength, mixed with the obvious speed and athleticism of the Lions receivers....They would have a field day on us. This post actually ruined all credibility that you ever had with me, as I will never be able to take any of your posts seriously ever again. The Vikings secondary would pick off C-Pep all day.
He is a has been who some will argue is a "never was."

Of course you would.I would love to see Culpepper playing for the lions the next time we meet.
That would mean an easy win for the Vikings.
Heck, my nephew's junior league would have an easy time against the Lions.

The team that should have beat us with DAN ORVLOSKY starting at quarterback. If not for poor officiating, they would have won the game easily. I know its hard to admit that the Vikings are a terrible football team, but c'mon. Wake up man. The Lions could very easily get their first win against us, which they will undoubtedly do with Culpepper starting."UffDaVikes" wrote:

Second I said "some" would argue.
I have seen and heard all the arguments that it was Moss who made Culpepper look good, just as I've heard the arguments for Daunte.
In my opinion, Culpepper was great when he was with the Vikings but before he got hurt and before his ego got in the way of his talent.
Is C-Pep a "never was?"
No
Is he a "has-been?"
Yes and time will show this.
BTW, you shouldn't take anyone's posts seriously.
We're chatting on a Football website and really don't know anything about anyone here.
Take it easy.

Re: Culpepper visiting the Lions
Just pisses me off to see people throwing past Vikes under the bus because they left. Prime examples are Culpepper and Moss. If not for those 2 individuals, the Vikings would not have had a winning record the last 10 years. Just like 2 weeks ago in the game chat where people were dissin on AP, and calling to bench him for Chester. (Before he scored a TD, and shut those idiots up.). The fact is that these guys were awesome for us. We should still be thanking them for what they did here. In my opinion, they are life-time Vikings and I will support them wherever they go.

Those who said that must have suffered a psychotic break.
Moss never said he wanted out and should still be a Viking to this day.
(Water under the bridge)
Culpepper... well, we disagree.

I don't remember anyone stating he should be benched.
The only time I saw something to that affect was when people were heavy into slamming Childress and I personally asked what do you want him to do bench AP?
I think t was more that he was benched for a minimal amount of the game which I believe is the correct thing to do when you have a person that fumbled twice in one game.
