According to SI's Don Banks, there's not really much of a chance, following Daunte's pity-party retirement letter.

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/don_banks/09/07/banks.snap.judgements/1.html

Not only could Daunte Culpepper have used an agent in recent years, he could have used a trusted, best friend to proof-read that retirement letter and file it into the waste-paper basket. Talk about having to have the last word, even when no one is listening. Culpepper probably felt better getting that off his chest -- for all of about five minutes. Then he probably realized just how petulant and short-sighted that written rant really was.

It's a shame, because some team will have an injury at quarterback and want to sign him (New England, maybe?). But now that's out, with him suffering a self-sustained injury. Yep, he shot himself in the foot.

Since Brady went down today, it is time to start speculating about whether the Pats will bring in Daunte and revive his career with Moss.

It's pretty close to a storybook tale if it happens ;D
I said this the second I saw Brady hurt.

I honestly think they should, he'll be cheap and you know they have chemistry.
Hell, they've talked before about finishing their careers together

Honestly, I think that the Pats could be pretty darn good with Culpepper under center. At least better than Cassel.
It would make absolute perfect sense for Daunte to go there. I don't really see it happening just because of the irony, but it would be kind of fun to see those two together again.

Culpepper will play good anywhere he can get pass protection, the man will simply make you pay. Culpepper is a super accurate QB who can make amazing throws. The downside of Culpepper would be his fumbles and the lack of poise under a pass rush.

    Thanks Z.
That rings true with what I heard on the radio this morning on the way in from work.

I am getting the feeling that Daunte was right, no one wants him on thier team.
    I wonder why?
Is it his attitude or his skill level.

IMHO its a little of both.
Still can't read a defense unless you limit it to one side of the field and his attitude with respect to contracts/negotiations is all askew.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I thought about this as well when I heard Brady went down.
Then I heard they were bringing in Simms.
    I laughed my ass off!
