Haha... this theory popped into my head and I knew there would be a thread about it already.

    Hell... why not.
I thought the same thing when Brady and Young went down.
First thing that popped into my head was Pep.

I couldn't come to start the thread myself.
    LOL!

Cassell looked like crap in preseason, but the little bit I watched today, he did alright.

This would be a good fit. and what if it was pats and minn in the superbowl. the media would eat that up.

Watch Moss tell Belichick that Daunte is a big distraction and to steer clear of him
That was Birk that said Moss was a distraction in the locker room, not Culpepper.

I like Pep. His not being on a roster and thus retiring, have nothing to due with him not being a good or reliable QB anymore.

    I doubt it

Wouldn't that be funny in a way?
I have to agree Culpepper would take the job in a heartbeat, despite his ego, I think he'd take it if it was to start or backup Cassel, being back with Randy, getting one last shot -and with the Patriots, who, even without Brady can be argued as one of the most dominant offenses in the league, I don't think he would be able to pass that up.

    I could see this happening.
It isn't like there are too many better options out there.
I mean, sure, he has small hands, can't read defenses, and can't run a 2-minute drill to save his tail...but he can throw to Moss.
His entire career was throwing to Moss.

In all seriousness, it wouldn't suprise me to see Culpepper in New England by Tuesday.
