ALAMEDA -- Quarterback Josh McCown's sprained right foot didn't respond well to his running around in practice Wednesday, and now he isn't expected to play against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said Friday....

Despite what most of us think of Pepper, he still has a place in the NFL.
He can still play, at what level? Only time will tell. He payed his dues and had some GREAT seasons. He is in my opinion better than any back up in the NFL at this early stage of the season.
I would still take him as a solid backup with the ability to start and play several full games.
No set aside ALL the past issues and things said and look at his level of ability and the other back ups in the NFL. He looks to me to be the best. Now those are just my thoughts what do you think?

Maybe holding a clipboard, but he still doesn't look ready to play at full speed on his knee from what I have seen. He still looks tentative and a step too slow. Those types of injuries are very tough to come back from and his style of play relied so much on the great mobility that he had. So now that his mobility is diminished he is going to change the way he goes about his job and that is very difficult and I do not think he is there yet.

The Raiduhs do not have the O Line that Pep needs to not have to scramble.
The Bronco's are going to kick his ass.
He will start forcing the ball like he does when he is frustrated and coupled with a fumble or two,
    that will be that.

I picked the Bronco's as my survivor team this week in the football pool.

DENVER — Once one of the league's premier quarterbacks, Daunte Culpepper finally gets his chance today to start redefining his NFL career. The caveat is that he may need to redefine it in a hurry or that career might soon be back in limbo....

Denver will destroy the Raiders today....no doubt in my mind....Pep may even get knocked out of the game early.....Then what will the Raiders do?......

I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.
