Crabtree back to the 2010 draft?
Adam Schefter & also one of the SF local reporters thinking that Crabtree may well end up back in next seasons draft.
Now then how many teams will want to go after him and how far down the draft will he slip as a result of this mess he's in?

Re: Crabtree back to the 2010 draft?
That is an interesting question.
I will tell you this.
If anything good comes out of this maybe the NFL and the NFLPA will see that the salaries given to these rookies that have never played a down in the NFL is downright ridiculous.
The system they currently have doesn't work.
They need to have a cap per position picked and be done with it.

Re: Crabtree back to the 2010 draft?
either this guy is an idiot, or he just doesnt want to play for the 49ers. I mean hes looking to lose more than what he can get right now. Because next year, he will fall down the draft, maybe be a mid to first round or late first round.
it could also be he doesnt want to play for the niners. neways, he still actin like a lil bitch regardless of the reason. thank god percy didnt try to pull this shyt.

Re: Crabtree back to the 2010 draft?
I have to question whether there is a significant health issue. Didn't he have a stress fracture in his foot?
Either way, I pitty the foo'.

Re: Crabtree back to the 2010 draft?
Millions of todays dollars that he will never recoup....
I would be SHOCKED if anyone would touch him early or mid first round next year, given his antics this year.
If they do, they deserve to get booty busted by this guy....because you know he will still think he deserves top 5 money.
I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

Why would you draft this guy if you think he's going to ask for $30 million whether he's picked at 7 or 70?
Add to that the history of guys that have sat out a year without playing at all and it just doesn't make sense.
This guy is dropping at least $15 million into the trash, near as I can tell.

I don't think he ever got to run for scouts, which was certainly an issue for a guy that wasn't believed to have the best top end speed.
I don't think it's still an issue, though.
When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Re: Crabtree back to the 2010 draft?
Hopefully, this will be the final nail in the coffin to get some kind of rookie salary cap. It is garbage to think how badly the 49ers are getting screwed here.

Worst mistake of his life.
Being out of football an entire year is going to hurt your wallet worse than anything else would.
