Cowher leaving Pittsburgh!

If this is indeed true, Wilf needs to pull an "Alabama" and offer him any amount of money that it would take to lure him to Minnesota to be the head coach!

If he wants to return to a sideline immediately, with another team and at a much higher salary, that team would have to work out compensation with the Steelers because Cowher is under contract for 2007. But several players said they were certain that if Cowher didn't coach the Steelers next season, he would not coach any team.

I hate to jump ship here on Chilly, but.....

I never thought they would actually get rid of Cowher, what have you done for me lately?

Denny and Cowher were the longest tenured coaches in the NFL, Denny was let go and Cowher went on for ?? 5 more years ??

from what i understand, Cowher is resigning, not being fired.

You know, he is a family orientated guy, maybe he wants to do family stuff for awhile.
Then he will get bored and then when we fire BC in a couple of years he will be able to take over.
I prefer BC gets this team turned around sooner than waiting for Cowher to come back, if indeed he plans to hang it up.

Money talks...the Stealers don't want to give him the kind of money that he wants to stay.
Trust me, he will be back with another team after a year's break...his wife will throw him out of the house just to get him off of her back!
