There's no doubt that "Monday Night Football" would not have become as big as it did without the popularity of Howard Cosell, Frank Gifford and Don Meredith in the TV booth.....

For some reason I really don't equate Cosell to MNF but rather other sports like boxing.
Must be because of my early bed time imposed by my authoritarian figure called Dad.

I can buy that. I just know that I use to sick up on Monday nights, just to see what Dandy Don Mereith was going to say or do. To me Monday Night Football was like going to your favorite aunt & uncle's house on the weekends. You knew that something funny or fun was going to happen.
