    Agreed.
I can understand the cop's initial reaction to pulling in to the parking lot.
But to not take the time to asses then understand the Moats' situation and change his tactics/posture is inexcusable.
I get so angry when I think Moats and and his Father in Law were denied the opportunity to be with a dying loved .... F*ck... I want to choke the f*ck out of that officer...

Needless to say, if i was in Moats' shoes, I would have been going to jail that night.
Moats handle the situation VERY WELL. If that was me I would be in jail as well.

Yes, I think Moats handled that situation as rationally as anyone could have in that situation, and the officer showed a distinct lack of compassion and common sense. I'm really impressed that Moats never tried to (as far as I can tell) play on his status as an NFL player. He didn't try to get out of the ticket. He just tried to speed things up so he could get in the hospital.

What really pissed me off was that the officer had hospital security and another officer (see, not all cops are bad) come to him to get him to let Moats into the hospital, and he still took his sweet time with it. Once this cop took his initial stand, he let ego and adrenaline get in the way of his judgement, and that's something no cop can afford to do.

This story is just sad, so sad. I would punch the cop square in the face if I saw him in the street. I understand pulling him over and being cautious. However he could have escorted him to the Hospital, and if his mother in law wasn't there, ticket him. Instead he has little man syndrom and wants to be the hero.

If anyone is a cop on here, I truly respect what you guys do for us day to day. However this pi$$es me off to a new level with cops. Their are good cops and bad cops, hes a bad cop. Letting his badge get to his head. I am very upset over this.

Right now I feel like playin a certain song bye N.W.A. or Ice T in memorey of his mother in law!

this cop should be fired and rot in the underworld.

he costed ryan moats the last chance to see his dieing mom in law.

and if you listen to the video. the cop threatens to screw him over.

there are times when you have to do what you gotta do to get things done. and this is one of these cases. his mom in law was dieing. and yet that cop had to be a prick. how does he even still have a job after that?

and if you do watch that video. doesnt he seem kind of racist to you also?

He was a dick and acted pretty stupid, however, lets not lump all of our policemen in with this guy.

More cops are power-hungry meatheads than not...

Pretty much the mafia with a badge.
