These days, perhaps a rocket scientist could play the position

The complexity of the verbage of plays, the many fronts defense use to disguise their defense alone make being a QB in the NFL one of the most challenging positions in sports. Learning a WCO system and getting comfortible with it takes years.

    Good find Singer.

"So the whole environment, the patience we used to have with quarterbacks, is totally different than it was, say, 20 years ago. The idea of letting a guy sit on the bench for 3 to 4 years and learn the system, learn the position, those days are long gone. Now, a guy is expected to go in and deliver by his second year."

Deliver in a complicated system that, in many cases, takes at least 2 years - and sometimes 3 years - to really master
That bit strikes a little close to home.
I can imagine a lot of fans having trouble with T-Jack's performance this year.
Fortunately he should be able to defer some responsibility on the H-Back's shoulders.
