    Cletius Hunt on the bubble?

Packers | Hunt could be on the Bubble
    Fri, 2 Sep 2005 19:21:15 -0700

Bob McGinn, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers DT Cletidus Hunt could be on the bubble for a roster spot. If the Packers waive Hunt, they'd be free of his $1.25 million base salary but still would have to count $1.95 million for him against their cap this year. However, they'd have to swallow hard because the remaining $3.6 million of his prorated bonus money all would accelerate against their cap next year. If Hunt was in good health, there's no question he would be a better player than any other defensive tackle on the roster with the exception of DT Grady Jackson. His salary cap hit may be enough for the Packers to keep him on their final roster.

Cap war right there....I thought that he was a lock-in at DT.

I think he pissed a lot of people off by skipping the minicamps for no real reason. Not to mention underperforming for his contract.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

well, it's official. Packers cut the underachieving fat slob Hunt

many Packer fans are happy, including myself

comes into training camp every year overweight, does nothing to improve his game. Waste of money

the other surprise cut was Ray Thompson, who was thought to be a starting LB for the team.

Looks like your Fudgies traded for LB Robert Thomas to fill the gap left by cutting Thompson, though!
