Chief's Gonzalez saves man's life with Heimlich

Chiefs' Pro Bowl TE saves Charger fan's life

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A California man says Pro Bowl tight end Tony Gonzalez of the Kansas City Chiefs kept him from choking to death.

"Tony saved my life. There's no doubt," Ken Hunter, a shipping company manager, told The Associated Press in a phone interview from Huntington Beach, Calif.

"Tony came up behind me and gave me the Heimlich maneuver. Thank God he was there."
"God has blessed me tremendously. I'd be a fool to complain."
"From what I understand, the coaches will put the best 11 on the field."

Great story with a happy ending...3 things come to mind:

1- Very surprising that none of the employees knew what to do in a choking situation.
2- Gonzalez had never been taught the Heimlich maneuver.
3- Gonzalez is a vegetarian.

I saw this on NFLN the other day and was totally stoked. he could have easily turned the other way like nothing had happens and continue to collect his millions of dollars, but instead he saved a man's life. cheers to that
