Chiefs, Edwards agree to four-year deal

Former Jets coach Herman Edwards was on his way to Kansas City and expected to sign a contract Monday to become coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, a team official familiar with the situation told The Associated Press.
The deal for Edwards, who reached a verbal agreement with the team on Sunday, is for $12 million over four years, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported.
The Chiefs scheduled a news conference for 4 p.m. ET Monday.
