I'm not sure exactly what he said and I understand that when you place yourself in the public eye you take on a certain amount of responsibilities.
But call me a cracker, honky, redneck, douche bag, a hole, pencil d#@k etc and so what.
I'll get over it.
There is a lot worse things going on in this league than making headline news because you said something that isn't politically correct.
We all need to buck up and stop pissing and moaning about petty stuff like this or who has been sucking the President's doo hicky.
If you don't like what I said, slam me and throw me to the dogs. I'll get over it.
After all I do have the right to my opinions.
On the other hand, I generally have the ability to control what I say, when and where I say it.
Yes Larry shouldn't have said what he said, when and where he said it [particularly].
But he did, now let's move on and get back to football. At least he didn't shoot someone or himself for that fact.
I do agree with you in a sense, that too many people here pretend they're a saint, and will jump at any moment to criticize a person for making a mistake.
If you've never, ever sworn, called someone out, called someone a fag, etc. then by all means, speak up.
I get saying he's an idiot, because whether you agree with it or not, the NFL has a conduct policy in place, and you're expected to follow it.
He's an idiot for not following it, not because he said his coach is a joke, then when criticized, he called the guy a fag.
I really don't care what he said, the fact that he needs to conduct himself properly as part of his job is where he fucked up.
Its the same thing with the Weed issue.
When pro athletes get busted for pot use, they're idiots.
They're not idiots for smoking pot, I could care less about that. But as a pro, you're expected to conduct yourself properly and not break the law.
Weed is illegal, and therefore, if you know you will be suspended for smoking pot, but still choose to do so, you are an idiot.

His voice comes through soft but pointed. He remembers his childhood in the Jim Crow South and understands the daggers of inequality and the tarnish of discrimination.
“I went through that,†he said. “My generation.â€Â
Larry Johnson Sr. said that he vowed so many years ago that he would teach his children to treat everyone with compassion. He said he raised them to consider everyone equal, regardless of race, gender, beliefs or sexual orientation. He said it hurts that his son, Chiefs running back Larry Johnson, used gay slurs in public two times in 24 hours.
“That’s just not who we are and not what we believe,†said the elder Johnson, 56. “It’s not how he was raised.
“It’s tough for me as a father.â€Â
