Re: Is Chicago the team to beat in the North?

    sdvike,
hold up! why are you so mad about what Irvin said? Maybe you didn't read the post clearly: irvin believes the VIKINGS (your team, i'd assume?) will win the division. I would think you'd be happy to hear something like that, eh?

    Now THAT I believe!

Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?

Re: Is Chicago the team to beat in the North?

lol...sorry bono, maybe what I said sounded a bit harsh. I did hear Irvin's prediction today on NFL Countdown about the Vikings winning the division. He also said the Vikes, he thinks, are the most talented team in the division. While it is good to hear someone in the media believe the Vikings can still win games this season, I am always skeptical. And like audioghost said, Irvin had some very different things to say about the Vikings not long ago. So I have a hard time getting excited about what he says.

Now to hear Tom Jackson praise the Viking fans as he just did on NFL Primetime...that I can go with!

T.J. is the man ... and the fans were great today, I could hear it through the radio that they were very supportive, for most of the contest at least.

Looking at their defense and the way they swarm they are the team I think has the best chance (other than the vikes). Orton is doing a great job of just "managing a game" and letting the D create opportunities. Reminds me of Tampa and Baltimore a few years back. Personally, after catching some of their game today I think their biggest assett is Soldier field, the outdoors, and the conditions. They are built for need and fit their environment.

Oh Yeah!! 56 yarder!!!!!! You gotta love them kickers!!!!!!!

Re: Is Chicago the team to beat in the North?

As for the team to beat in the division it still has to be the team that has one the division the past few years. I think the Vikings can pull it off though. Weak division and the vikings have probably the most talent in the divison.
