Hmmm, might have been a few, but I think most felt that the guys that were brought in couldn't catch the ball.

For me, what I missed the most was the unpredictability we had with him back there. Were we gonna run or were we gonna pass.
Unless of course it was 3rd and 17...then you just knew that ol' Chiller was gonna pound the rock up the middle.

    .....snicker.....you crack me up.

He did do that at times, but if you took alook at down/distance and field position, alot of coaches do that as well, especially if the game is earl/close.

Funny how most fans on this site ignore that little tactic.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

How soon they forget the power of the KAO. 3rd and 17 was "Dump off to Tahi" time.

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Maybe I am in the minority but I think CT might be the best thing we can do to help make McChunky successful. CT is in many ways similar to Westbrook and he was one of the primary reasons that DM had the success he did in Philly.

As a blocker and as an outlet receiver when the pressure is on there is nobody on our roster who could benefit McNabb as completely as CT could. I was fine with him leaving because I understood he wanted to try and get to a team where he could start but now that his experiment didn't pan out he might be more accommodating to what his role would be on the team.

That Chester you speak of has not been around since 2008. In 2009 he was not a liability, but was not nearly the same player he was in the first years in purple.

He simply does not have the wheels anymore to be effective. Seriously, why not just get Westbrook if we are going to get a washed up RB for McNabb?

That is always possible but then again I am not so sure it wasn't just him not being as valuable to Brett and to Cutler. I am not going to get into a 20 page debate over whether he is or isn't washed up. If he is washed up then no big deal. If he does have some gas left in the tank he could be an asset to the old washed up QB we brought in until he does the 3rd bob. That is as far as I am going with it.

A few? There are two reasons AD was sat on 3rd down & CT brought in. CT could block & CT could catch. Both of which AD struggled with early when CT was here.

When CT was in there on 3rd down, there wasn't much unpredictability what we were going to do. Odds were damn high it was a pass.

If CT was in there on 1st or 2nd, then the unpredictability existed & that's how it should be with any RB. Back then, before AD improved his pass catching abilities, if AD was in, it was quite predictable what we were going to do.

+1, glad we cut ties on him when we did. 2.4ypc last year.
There are a few on here who don't agree with that though.
    I'm not among them.

Always liked Chet, but, Bears overpaid to get him... Good luck to Chester, all the best.
    Agree.

I think some of the initial problem was related to people looking at Toby as a replacement for 3rd down situations when in fact, thats not his role.

I for one, think we have one of the best 3rd down backs on our roster right now and the right QB that knows how to use him as such, in young Mr. Booker and Mr. Dnabb.
Does that mean you are no longer high on Albert, Albert, Albert?
