Chargers release LT
Its Official
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4936783"There are 3 things that sell in America:
Violence, sex, and drugs.
The only way you are going to make this game more appealing to the public than it was before is if there are on field orgies at halftime and the domes become massive opium dens."

Re:Chargers release LT
Sign him up, he'll be a good back up to Adrian Peterson.

Re:Chargers release LT
lmao!
He refused to take a pay cut to stay a Charger, no way he'd take a pay cut to come here.

Re:Chargers release LT
Its a shame really. He has or shares 28 team records. Someone will take a gamble on him, I just hope it isn't us.
We're bringing purple back.

Re:Chargers release LT
OK, I'll be the sacrificial lamb.
So, in the "why not" category: since LT is released, approach him, to take Chester's spot. Then, trade Chester to San Diego for Cromartie. Uncapped year, so, pay him...not whatever it takes, but, enough so as he comes.
LT would be one helluva third down back. Now, I realize LT wants "Starter's money," but, let's face it, he's not a bellcow back anymore. He wants a ring...we are close.
Not sure if we would be a better Team with Cromartie and LT or with Chester and an unproven rookie or a castaway CB...however, I think we would be better. At a minimum, it makes for interesting discussion IMO.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

As a matter of fact, I do know

Chargers are close too. If favre doesn't come back, they're closer than we are. He didn't want to take a pay cut to go there, and sorry to say, but we're not soo good that he'll come here at any cost. He won't be a Viking, and I doubt Chilly & Co. even tries.OK, I'll be the sacrificial lamb.
