Goodell said one way to keep playoff-bound teams from tanking their regular-season finales is to seed them by record.

And this makes perfect sense to me.

It does to me also. If they want to include the division winners who don't have an adequate win-loss record to be included as the primary contenders, as wild card teams, I'm fine with that.

It does to me also. If they want to include the division winners who don't have an adequate win-loss record to be included as the primary contenders, as wild card teams, I'm fine with that.

And I think football fans who pay good money to watch them teams play should not have to watch a game where all the "scrubs" play just to rest the starters when the team has already won the division.
