Bengals | C. Johnson thinks Palmer will be ready for the season opener
Thu, 11 May 2006 07:39:28 -0700
Chick Ludwig, of the Dayton Daily News, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson believes QB Carson Palmer (knee) will be ready for the team's season opener. "I'm not supposed to say that," Johnson whispered during Wednesday's open locker room, May 10, "but I think so. He's walking around, running and lifting (weights), doing everything everyone else does. So I think he's going to be ready to go. When you watch him, you'd think there's nothing wrong with him. You wouldn't know he got hurt."

Palmers injury although not as severe as Pepp's injury did come at a much later time then Pepp's did. If Pepp is going to be ready by mid season at the latest, then Palmer (barring any setbacks) should be ready to go by game 1..
