Re: Carson Palmer's career could be OVER according to his doctor

That would be a tragedy, Palmer has got the brightest future for any NFL QB. I hope he recovers...definetly enjoy watching him play.

    Thanks for the Sig LitlHarsh

If it is career ending i really feel bad for Carson and i don't care i would be pissed at that Von Ohelhoffen or what ever his name is.
I actually agree with Jordan on this one. I watched the replay a bunch of times on Tivo, and he could have gone down much quicker than he did and avoided Palmer, IMO. To me it looked like he got blocked, was going down and went for Palmer wayyyyy too low. It wasn't 100% intentional, because like I said he got knocked down, but it was still an incredibly low and in my opinion avoidable shot.

From the angle I seen it at he was going down that part is true. But how could he know when the ball was out when he was stubbling to the ground. Yes the injury could be tragic and yeah I am sure he could have got out of the way but he was playing football. I dont think you can blame anyone for the injury.

Re: Carson Palmer's career could be OVER according to his do

The article title is just hype. His knee was meesed up pretty good but then it went on and said that he could be back by the start of next year. It was just to sucker us in.

I found this part interesting. I wonder if DC will where a brace, even though it may not do what it is suppose to do. Could Palmers injury have been more severe if he wasn't wearing the brace?

"The things that were torn could be repaired," he said. "They were not torn beyond repair. So he's got all his parts in there, which is good. We're optimistic, actually."

If rehabilitation goes well, Palmer could be running in a couple of months and might be able to play in the first regular season game, Paulos said. The 2006 schedule hasn't been set.

Palmer has worn a protective brace on the left knee since he sprained it near the end of the 2004 season. The knee bowed inward on von Oelhoffen's hit even though Palmer was wearing the brace,

"The brace didn't function well in this environment and should have done better than it did, frankly," Paulos said.

The plan is for Palmer to wear more substantial braces on both knees when he returns.

"No brace is perfect," Paulos said. "No brace can prevent every injury, but they do help."

Yeah... that is too bad about Carson, he was really turning into a special player this season! But, it sounded like with all his determination he can be back next season... which really gives me a lot more hope for Daunte, considering he did not get nearly the bad reports from doctor as Carson did,, and his injury was a lot earlier in the year, so he has a head start... " based on damage 1-3, they said it was a 4," OUCH!

Good Luck Carson........BUT......Better luck Daunte, your my boy!!!

I, too, would hate to see his career over before it really started. I hope he makes a full recovery and comes back strong.
