Carson Palmer wants to be traded

    Sources: Carson Palmer wants trade

Carson Palmer will ask the Cincinnati Bengals to trade him and will contemplate retirement if he does not get his wish, according to several sources.

My friend told me that Mortensen said on TV that Palmer's first choices are the NFC West or the Vikings.

Anyone want to bet he ends up playing for Pete Caroll in Seattle?

Will be interesting to see what happens, not sure that I'd want him here. I'm all for going with youth at the QB position for us, but could see Seattle liking the idea of having him.
Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

I like Palmer, but he was already 25 when he became a starter in the league and is now 31 and looking run down.

I wouldn't hate to see us go get him, but I don't know that I would be thrilled either.

he could be a bridge QB that they've been talking about. draft/sign a young QB and let him sit behind Palmer for a little while. I'm not a huge fan of Palmer but the situation could work.

I would like to see what he could do with Adrian, Rice and Percy.. But i guess it might be to much of a gamble

Like many others here, I am neither for nor against this. Palmer would certainly be an upgrade over what we've had in the past (Jackson/Frerotte/Johnson) and what we currently have (Webb), and would be a good candidate to allow us to develop a high pick QB rookie.

It comes back to cost - the Bungles aren't going to simply give him away, and I'm not certain he'd be worth leveraging the franchise at this point.

I'd rather have Orton. Palmer looks shot.
