I was hopeful that we would get David Carr, and I believe I admitted I was wrong once the Chillster shut it down by saying he had a flaw in his throwing motion. I can't remember. I'm too old.

Plus, I take any kind of head injury very seriously. I agree 100% with Carr's sentiment. He's received big paychecks as the #1 overall pick. Multiple concussions or traumatic brain injuries can have a huge effect on people. Mike Ditka was fighting the NFL on disability payouts to the vets on this one, and I was glad to see it.

And all of this is what makes me so concerned about Tarvaris being knocked out for a few minutes against the Chargers. If the doctors don't clear Tarvaris until next season--or whenever--that is OK by me. Go ahead and get healed up. Health first. Football second.

    Go Vikings!

One of the biggest proponnents of that cause was ex-Viking Brent Boyd. I posted articles on it this past June.

I was one who thought he should at least get a look. I don't think at this point that we would have been any worse off with him on the roster than we are right now.

Then again I also said we should fix the offensive line but that didn't happen either.

I am now officially on the let's get Eli Manning bandwagon. I am just not sure why yet ;D

I wonder if you asked him the question today, if he would even rember saying that.
