Funny thing when I read this. If he were to get out, do you think it could still get worked into our cap-budget to sign him after the Berrian deal? And how would the depth chart shake out between him, BB and Rice (+Wade?)?
    Then cut Fergie or Wade
Of course fergie would be out for sure. I were wondering who would work the slot when we go 3 wide with Fitz, BB and Rice.

Too bad for Allison though. And I kind of liked Wade doing crossroutes dutys
course we could really cause a rumpus and run
a few 5 receiver sets to make use of all of the guys
    ;D

That's probably why it wont happen. The team is pretty much set at WR. They are not an elite group by any stretch but they each have a role.(Berrian stretch the field, Rice as the number 2 guy with great hands to move the chains and redzone plays and Wade to go over the middle to get the short slants.)

At this point, doesn't Fitz push us to the limits.

I would love to see him here.
I would love to see him here over Berrian.
Once we committed money to BB, he hitched our horse. JMHO!
Clever. I were thinking along those lines

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

I just cant see that. You know with all the runorientated offense, the Chilly, and the AD and all that.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

and no other teams would expect it either, making it a great way to open a game one day.
Imagine, the Offense comes out with 5 wr's, the Defense is thinking of going in a 4-3.
At the very least it would cause confusion, and possibly them wasting a timeout.

    Depth Chart would be:

    1. Fitz
    2. BB
    3. Rice
    4. Wade
    5. Allison

Wade would still have slot duties, but we would have a great goalline threat in Rice and Fitz inside the 20. Also the ability to split out 5 wide, not to mention Rice becomes our starter if BB or Fitz gets tired/injured.

It probably won't happen, but it'd be awesome if it did.

You know AZ would need another receiver if they traded Fitz, so I might as well start right in on our newest team member.

How about we package BB in a trade to AZ for Fitz?
They get another good reciever for a little less money, we get Fitz, he gets to come "home" and play for a couple of Super Bowl championship teams over the next several years.

    Thats what I call a Win-Win situation.

Not a chance in hell they would trade their newly aquired FA for anyone.
Could you think of how that would make future FA's look at signing with the vikings.
They could ask "Why should I sign with you, how do i know you won't just trade me away next week?"

The biggest issue would be we would still be responsible for his guareenteed section of contract.
No way in hell. Our Cap the following year would have like a 25 million dollar hit.
