    Captain Moss?!

I just heard on NFL Sunday countdown that Randy Moss was elected the captain of the team!
    What's next?

    Peace through superior firepower!

Lol. Yeah, I saw that, too.

He's a hell of a player, but not a leader...

    Yup just heard that too.
I loved his quote "I'm just not thinking about football right now"
WTf kind of comment is that during football season??
As much as I loved him when he was with us I just don't get him sometimes.

    Re: Captain Moss?!

Who else could it really be on the Raiders?

    Warren Sapp- no.

    Michael Huff- Rookie

    Robert Gallery- Sucks

    Aaron Brooks-
    ;D

LaMont Jordan- I guess could be.

They really don't have anyone else to give it to, so why not give it to your best player, and either way, Im sure there is more than one team captain.

That's a valid point (more than one captain).
Plus I have no doubt that he is the best player on the team.
Of course I cheered for him when he was a Vike.
I just question his dedication to his team after reading his comments in another post.
Do you think it's a motivational factor for him to be given this title?

Ya it is a tough one, when your captain says he in not thinking about football at this point.

But Sand, you have to cut Moss some slack.
Moss probably doesn't realize what he is saying...........I hear the chronic in Cali is far superior to that in MN..
He is living the Dream as Nick Bakay would say.

Moss is a good player in a bad situation.
    Plus he has few options.
I would probably be venting now too.

Agreed... As we can all see, he is not bitching about his contract.. He is bitching because he is not winning, and that is just the competitive nature in us all... I would be super pissed right now if I was him.. He is use to winning, and being the star of the show, now he is nothing more then a player on the Raiders.

If I were him, I would want to be traded as well.. He should just come out and say that he wants to leave Oakland.. He shouldn't beat around the bush, because that could take much longer to accomplish.. I have no idea what the rest of you think, but if he were to become the Rany Moss of old, I would welcome him back with open arms..

    Re: Captain Moss?!

i know he's a constant pain, but who wouldn't wank out of oakland.
he's not the team player thats willing to wait a couple of years (um, thats being nice regarding their qb situation, guess they shoulda grabbed v. young in draft.).
so in that sense i feel for him.
but, i think he needs to decline the whole captain thing until he realizes what he is doing is wrong anyway, and decides to act like a captain and suck it up.
captains don't pout like 8-year olds who lose their flag football game.
i don't care who is qualified for it in oak town, but this guy doesn't deserve it.
screw it, make lamont it on offense and sapp it on defense.
why won't sapp knock some sense into him?

i'm just sick of all this friggin drama in sports.
t.o, randy, shootings, dui's, wife beating, damn the media for bringing it all to light.
guess i better start working on getting used to it.

They really think that the young QB (walters) is going to blossom.

I am afraid that Davis will "Marcus Allen" Moss.
Salary cap might be a saving grace in this situation for Moss.
Atleast his contract is up in a couple.

Oak hasn't done anything to make that team better.
They couldn't even find a coach that wanted to coach under Davis, for the Raidasssss.
