Can Steelers win without Ben Roethlisberger
I am thinking the Steeler defense will win this game for them.
I think Pep will come out strong in the first quarter but fold by the second half as the lack of an O line will catch up with Miami.

I have a tough time putting any confidence in Charlie Batch, Hines Ward is also out for the Steelers.
I do not believe that Culpepper is back at 100%.
The Steelers D could get worn down and Batch??? I will have to go with the Dolphins in this game.

Re: Can Steelers win without Ben Roethlisberger
I'd say the Steelers can win without Ben.
Even without him on the field they have the D and Willie Parker.
Plus, Miami isn't as good as some of the "experts" are saying. The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

Re: Can Steelers win without Ben Roethlisberger
If you've ever watched the Steelers offense minus Roethlisberger, then you know they have a hard time passing the ball without him. He's an important part to their offense and they will definatley miss him this Thursday.
But the Steelers have a very strong running attack and the defense is one of the best in the league.
I'm not high on Miami, and I think they're one of the most overhyped teams going into the 06/07 NFL season. Losing Ricky Williams was a big loss, because last season him and Ronnie Brown were able to split carries and provide a strong ground attack. Now that Ronnie Brown has to carry the load, we will see how good of a running back he really is.
I still believe the Steelers will win this game, even without Big Ben.

I think they can get it done without him.
Should be a close game either way.
I hope they win.

Re: Can Steelers win without Ben Roethlisberger
I pick the Dolphins in this game.
When the Steelers win with Batch it is because they rush 50 times and pass 5.
Staley sucks right now and no Bettis to pound it in, the D will get tired and so will Parker.
No Hines Ward means no one to really pass to.
Do not need to worry about trick plays because radnle el is gone.
I would bet on the fins.We can solve poverty today.

I say yes,
if he can come back from sliding his head on the ground, he can come back from appendicitis.

Re: Can Steelers win without Ben Roethlisberger
Yes, they can win wothout him.
They still have a great D and a good O-Line.
They can run the ball and hold a lead.
As long as the QB does not get forced to throw, they will win.
