Offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie has decided to restructure his contract and remain with the Ravens, according to ESPN NFL Insider John Clayton. If I were Joe Flacco, I wouldn't be real happy that McKinnie was protecting my blind side and no one can blame him.
Can the Ravens really rely on McKinnie to hold down one of the most important positions on the team? The Ravens apparently are ready to take that risk.
McKinnie's story just gets more strange.

Problem for most on here is he actually played pretty good last year. The Ravens issues on the OL are in the middle (backup spots) when they had to rotate players.
Of course most will discount this because of what team is ranked one position higher than the Ravens.....

There were times when the Ravens’ line looked a lot worse than this, but thanks to a strong interior (that earned a collective +39.7 grade), they stayed in the Top 10 for a third year running. For years the Vikings’ line has struggled to open up holes, so what happened this year? Well, chiefly, they got a little bit more mobile with the loss of Bryant McKinnie and got excellent play from their interior line. They could still stand to get better at certain spots and may have to deal with moving on from Steve Hutchinson. Overall, things are encouraging with some of the talent they do have.
Best Player: In a move that nobody saw coming, John Sullivan (+22.5) started playing like one of the best centers in the league.
Worst Player: In all honesty, we probably expected worse from Charlie Johnson (-12.4). He may prove a better fit at guard.

McKinnie is a lazy bum and has been his entire career in the NFL. Mike Morris mentioned more than once on the radio how this guy won't be the one breaking a sweat in a game. He's more interested in lying like a beached whale on South Beach with that skank Serena Williams instead of actually striving to be an elite left tackle. I was very happy when we cut that slob. He stole money for years from the Vikings.Quote:

McKinnie could well have been All Pro as a Vikings tackle had the coaches insisted he come in at a lower play weight and work on his footwork. Instead, coach after coach let him slide and just get by with his size.
