Re: C. Rogers could go on the waiver wire

Why woiuldn't the Lions trade him?
They could get a third or fourth rounder for him and they'd have some control over where he goes.
Oh wait, I forgot they have Meethead II as their GM.

He already missed 4 games due to drugs...the next one will be a year long suspension....how many times do you guys have to get bit by the same dog?

I say let someone else deal with a guy that was blessed with so much talent but seems intent on pissing it away....Smith... Robinson... Rogers...enough is enough.

Let's see....an underachieving wide receiver with attitude problems. Been there. Done that.

Lions | C. Rogers will miss another preseason game
    Wed, 23 Aug 2006 16:15:30 -0700

The Associated Press reports Detroit Lions WR Charles Rogers (knee) will miss Friday's preseason game, Aug. 25, at Oakland because of a knee injury. "It's week to week right now, not day to day," Detroit head coach Rod Marinelli said Wednesday, Aug. 23. "We'll look at where he is again next week." Rogers is in danger of being released or traded, if the Lions can find a team that wants him, just three years after he was drafted with the second pick overall.

Don't think we need more baggage at WR. What has he played, about, 9 games?

its too cold in minn for a guy like that.
he might go outside and break a limb off his brittle body.
heck, when the wind blows he pulls something.
talented wr in college, but too fragile for the big leagues.
we have done some crazy things though. it might work, but i doubt it!

Come on... it's not THAT much colder in Minnesota than Detroit.
I doubt it would work either though.
