Bill Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports when St. Louis Rams QB Marc Bulger connected with WR Torry Holt for a 17-yard gain in the third quarter against the Denver Broncos Week 1, he reached 1,000 completions faster than any quarterback in NFL history. Bulger got there in 45 games, two games sooner than ex-Rams QB Kurt Warner. QBs Drew Bledsoe and Peyton Manning needed 48 games, and it took QB Dan Marino 49.

Did not know that.
Bulger isn't really a QB I think of when I think of great active QB's.
I guess when you have Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce on your team, you are bound to get tons of completions.

Quite a feat.. Didn't know he was that good.. I knew he was pretty solid.. But that's quite a list he passed there.. Congrats man

i'm not that impressed.

They threw 80% of the time under Martz, and every time he plays a full season he throws 15-20 INTs.

Its to be expected, everytime i hear about the rams in the past years was how many yards or passes bulger threw for. Its a feat nonetheless.

Well then if they threw 80 percent of the time 15-20 picks isn't bad at all.. He is a very good QB and 1000 completions is a big deal.. Im pretty impressed

It is partly to do with the offensive philosophy.
I agree, it is a feat.
His ints might also be part of the risk of passing that much
in that game plan.

I don't like the Rams, but I do like the Blue-Collar type like Bulger.
He wasn't handed a starting job.
He earned it.
