    Re: Bubba Franks Cut..Franchise Williams

How is this a good day for the Pack?
They did two obvious things they should have done

not that surprising, gettin old for a TE, kinda expected them to franchise him, good move on their part.

No thanks on ol' Bubba, i see plenty of promise in Shiancoe & Mills

Must not be much for talent in the DT market this year I guess..........
No not many that have 14 sacks over past two years, can play every position along the Dline.. strong as an ox and enough burst to play end. Williams will be locked up after the draft if he isn't traded for value before that.. he was to good to just let walk if you have the cap room to make it happen. Is he worth 6 million a year, probably not, but like I said he will either be in Green Bay for years or won't play another snap here.

Kid is a better player than people give him credit for... without him this year we would have folded even moreso along the dline. Good move.

Bubba is breaking down and not worth the 4.5 million he was due to make, however he is a stout blocker and decent short range reciever, think red zone. Other than that he is limited at this point in his career, that huge hit he took two years ago took years off his career, never been the same player since. Buyer beware...
