He was asked why he would put himself at risk or something like that and he went off on a small rant. Basically he said, he wouldn't put himself or his family in a position where he was in any danger.
I don't like the Pats, but I have always liked the way Bruschi plays.
Hooray for Teddy! It's great that he can play in the NFL again...a real testament to his physical fitness and the good medicine he received.
also shows that players in the Patriots organization lay themselves down on the line for their team, wish i could say that about a majority of our players
I don't like it I think the Patriots should have just put him on IR months ago to avoid something like this. You cannot simulate the violent hits he could take in practice and I doubt any doctor puts in consideration about what they could do to his body.
If cleared by 100 or so doctors, I guess I am ok with this. He was already told that this stroke was probably a direct link to him playing football and would not have happened otherwise, so I dont know how he can feel safe about it, but it is his and his families choice. I wish him nothing but luck.
I have a bad feeling about this...I think this is a tragedy waiting to happen. How old is this guy anyway? I don't think he's a very young player...I think he's had enough years for a career...he's won three rings already hasn't he?...why take a chance with your life? Just to play more football at this level? I don't agree. I know it's a tough decision to walk away from the game, but I'd be thinking about my kids and family.
I have a bad feeling about this too.. I hope he ends up ok.. He should have concidered retiring too.. A stroke is nothing to mess with
great news if you are a pats bad, bad news for everyone else. i dont think he will be ready to play this week, but he should be back in against the colts in week 8. this is where the colts will lose thier first game, just as i predicted at the start of the season.
Bruschi is going to be a non factor this season but he wants to test out his clicker and see how it holds up.
