Re: Browns starting QB Frye traded to Seattle

Traded for a draft pick ???It seems thats all Cleveland has to look forward to every year is draft picks, then the picks suit up and become Browns and they're off to mediocrity

HAHAHA, When I lived in Cleveland I would tell this to people all the time. The thing is, once you leave Cleveland you win Championships (ie- Belicheck & Ravens)

Re: Browns starting QB Frye traded to Seattle

    There's an organization going somewhere.
The guy has 20 less than stellar games for them over the last few years, he supposedly was their best option throughout preseason, has a shitty half and he gets booted from the team.

Now you have two QB's that were rated lower than him by this crack (snorting) coaching staff as their remaining options.
Talk about having your shit together.

we all know they are going to be last in that division anyways. might as well get another high pick in the draft

They would get a Seahawks draft pick... are you saying the Seahawks are going to be last? Because I'd have to disagree with that.

The pick they get in return for Frye is going to be wherever the Seahawks would have gotten the pick.

You mean get Dallas a high pick?
It's going to be real tough for Browns fans to swallow that next spring when they realize they traded the number one pick for Brady Quinn.
Unless, of course, Quinn turns out to be good.
    Hey, it could happen...

Let's remember... he plays in Cleveland.

right! i forgot that the cowboys have that pick. well i guess they will take the best WR in the draft.

so then, the 33rd pick is still a good pick for them.

Re: Browns starting QB Frye traded to Seattle

That was the right move by Cleveland.
While, they don't have much at QB, they certainly have better than Frye.
Derek Anderson, Ken Dorsey, even Quinn.

Frye makes poor decisions, has no pocket presence, forces throws constantly, is terrible under the slightest amount of pressure, and doesn't have anything impressive physically in terms of accuracy, arm strength, speed, agility, etc.

    Quinn will be good.
Maybe not this year, but in watching preseason, the whole team seemed to play harder when he was in the game.
Some kind of weird ripple effect, like they actually had a leader in the huddle or something.

Granted the majority of his playing time was against backup defenses, the one series he played against a first team defense, was against Denver, and he led them on a TD drive.

Crennel won't be around much longer, I think he'll be gone by the halfway point, and they may be 2-14 this year, but Cleveland will be good behind Quinn.
It likely won't be until next year or the year after though.
