Brian Russell starting For Seadawgs?
I can't believe I read this, but Brian Russell (remember him?) is probably going to be the starting safety for the Seadawgs this year.
He came in as an undrafted FA after he was cut by Cleveland.
Man, Russell was a motor running at full bore all the time but he was the worst open field tackler I've ever seen. I remember him having to pick up his jock on the field several times after he was faked out.Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.

He led the NFL in INT's that one year he was with us, right? He had a real knack for the interceptions but man was he a liability in the run game. I kinda liked Russell and Chavous when they were racking up the INT's though.

I believe Cleveland had him on the roster last year and cut him. He then came in as a FA to Seattle.

We have plenty of safties that are better though.
And once he gets faked out a few times by AP, he will WISH that he was still with the Vikings!

AD will never fake him out, because Russell wouldn't even be able to get that close to him.
