    Re: Brett Lorenzo Favre...press conference...

Rumor has it that he hired extra security for the property for a short period to ensure that he has some alone time with the family without the newhounds at bay.

Hmmm! I'll take exception to that.

LOL.. Didn't think that Favre would be a target of yours, since he retired from the Packers..

Actually that is not entirely true.
I remember watching him get carted off the field one time when he hurt his pinky finger.

He has been carted off more than once...
Yep! I still remember the close up of him being carted off with that towel covering his face so you couldn't see the tears.

Mike Sherman - Packers Head Coach

"I asked someone if they had the classified ads so I can see if there's another job out there because it's a little hard to work around here without No. 4." (on Brett being carted off the field following scary knee injury vs. Redskins - 2002)

He was also carted off the field in 2006....

Favre was carted to the locker room shortly before halftime and returned to the bench area during the first series of the second half, when the Patriots had the ball. He threw a few passes near the Packers' bench but never took another snap.

I actually meant we never saw him carted off the field while playing the Vikings.
I didn't care if other teams buried the guy, I wanted US to while he was playing.

Ah, but we sprained Favre's ankle & took out Detmer with a torn ligament in his thumb in the same game back in 95 at the dome. The Pack then had to rely on T.J. Rubley who despite the coach calling a sneak, called an audible instead & threw a pick to Robert Griffith.

We took 6 turnovers from the Packers in that game. Beating them 27-24.

Sure, we put him out, but he wasn't carted off.
How many times did we - collectively - hope to see someone drop Favre like a sack of potatoes...causing a stoppage of play while they hauled his twitching body off on the cart?
    EVERY SINGLE GAME!!!!
I wanted him HURT - not careeer ending, just enough to ruin "the streak".
But no matter how hard we hit him, we couldn't put him down.

    That's what I mean.
    The guy just never stopped.
He's exactly what you want on YOUR team, but when he's wearing someone else's colors (especially that mucus green and urine yellow), you want him down and twitching.
Not crippled or killed, mind you, simply hurt enough that he never forgets you, and plays in terror from then on.

And one more thing: I would like to add that once again, a BonoSugaRay thread is a HIT! Talk about being an attention grabber, eh?!
A hit?! It is only 5 pages. That is pathetic!

    Marstc09,
It might be "pathetic" to you, but for a misfit in a dried out gated community (such as this), being able to start a thread that pushes past the second page is a HIT! But hey, don't take my word for it. Take YOURS and the whole lot of 'em who continue READING this wonderful thread of mine, and many who have already POSTED and will CONTINUE to! :-*
