Brandon Marshall traded to the Dolphins

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft10/news/story?id=5085644
The Denver Broncos are trading wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins for a second-round pick in next week's NFL draft and what league sources say is an additional second-round pick in 2011.

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

Does this mean that Ted Ginn is done in Miami?

Heard they are not happy with him.

Vikes should have traded B.B and a 2nd next year for Marshall.

Imagine Rice, Marshall and Harvin as are starting WR's.

That would have been sweet...but, I don't think they want that much money tied up in skill position players...

Just imagine the contracts that Peterson, Rice, and Marshall would demand in the next couple of years plus a "Number 1 QB".

Gotta think that WRs will come thru the draft and maybe a FA signing. Until they find a "QB of the future", I doubt they invest much in future WRs. Just not a lot of return on the investment until then.

I don't know why all the talk with trading BB. He has been quite solid since coming on board here and is signed through 2013 ... so he will likely be here for at least two more seasons before it is worth it for us to even think about cutting him.

WR is one position we do not need to touch in the slightest.

I would have given a second for him, but then, as Midg and Bsmith pointed out,

Just imagine the contracts that Peterson, Rice, and Marshall would demand in the next couple of years plus a "Number 1 QB".

Not sure if the contract wouldn't kill us and BB has actually been halfway decent even though he has been injured alot. I absolutely loved the 20+ yards per catch he averaged with the likes of TJ and Gus throwing to him in 2009.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Short term memory and first impressions.

What people fail to realize is, Favre missed training camp, and Berrian missed the preseason. They started the season on completely different pages, which is why they never seemed to really hook up much at first. Towards the end of the season, they had the chemistry going, and Berrian made some really nice and key catches, especially in the playoffs.

If we trade Berrian, it better be for something good, because I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling going into the season with Rice, Harvin then Lewis/DR/JJ as our #3 guy....

Ted Ginn has hands like Troy Williamson (big granite ones).

While the Marshall plan would be a great idea on paper, that guy is way to much trouble in the lockerroom etc.

B.B is hurt to much wasn't healty for the 2008 season and hurt most of the 2009 season.

B.B salary is 9 million whic is only about 1 million less than Marshall's 10 million dollar contract so all we would have lost was a second round pick for a guy with better speed, less injuries, younger and some of the best hands I have ever seen.

Sounds like a winner to me.

Marshall already signed a big fat contract. He is in Miami for the next 5 years. Him and Henne will obviously become the greatest of all time.
    We're bringing purple back.
