The chances that the Bears trade for Brandon Marshall are slim. I mean they obviously need a WR, and if it happended he'd reunite with the QB he's been playing with all along.

But being that the Bears already broke the bank for Cutler in the off season, what do they have left to trade for Marshall?

That's why I don't think it'll happen.
Would you trade Devin Hester and a 3rd round next year for Marshall?

Just a question... because I think I would if I was the Bears.

That's not nearly enough for a 100-ball WR, even if he's a complete tool like Marshall.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Like Zeus said, it's going to take much more in order to acquire Brandon Marshall.

Dude is only 25 years old, and is clearly one of the better WR's in the league.

Devin Hester and a 2nd round? Possibly a 4th too?

I'm just guessing, have no idea what I'm talking about really. What do you think the Bears would be willing to give up?

My guess is it would at least take a 1st round pick and a 3rd OR 4th rounder.

I don't think the Bears want to trade Devin Hester. But if they had to in order to get Marshall, I think they would. Hester is a great player, but he's really only a threat on special teams. Maybe he'll become a better WR now that he has a better QB, but we don't know for sure.

The Bears are the LAST team I want Marshall to go to. If they were to get him, I think the Bears would be the favorite in our division.

By the way, although Wayne is wack, it's nice to see you appreciating hip-hop. I knew you would come along sooner or later.

Agreed.
I would think it would be along the Det/Dallas trade for Roy Williams level.
Of course I would take Marshall over RW any day.

Re: Brandon Marshall may soon be an ex-Bronco

My guess is Marshall would cost at least a first round pick. The biggest problem is the draft is already gone.
That is the best time to wheel and deal. I don't see them moving him unless someone offers up a first and something else.

Weeks after franchise quarterback Jay Cutler pissed-and-moaned his way out of town, elite receiver Brandon Marshall could soon be an ex-Bronco, too.

Marshall failed to show up on Friday for the start of a mandatory minicamp.
Coach Josh McDaniels thereafter said that Marshall would be arriving later in the day.

According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Marshall showed up, met with owner Pat Bowlen, and left.

As he departed, Marshall carried “packed boxes.”

Uh.
Oh.

The problem apparently is Marshall’s contract.
He signed a four-year deal as a rookie, and he’s due to make only $2.1 million in 2009.
(Absent a new CBA, Marshall would only be a restricted free agent in 2010, due to the rules of the uncapped year.)

But he also has an issue with the team’s medical staff, due to their handling of a hip injury that required surgery during the offseason.

That team is close to being in total chaos.
I still can't believe that coach even has a job......What a mess.

Good thing none of us are Bronco fans. Even better thing I know a bunch of donko fans that i can make fun of more. They are being run into the ground and the raiders might have a better record then them next year.

Dammit! The Broncos need to get it together. My man is a Denver fan and he has not been a happy camper when it comes to football lately... first Shanahan being fired, then Cutler, now this! I'm thinking pretty soon he's not going to be a football fan anymore haha. Come on Broncos, give me a break here!

...Or maybe this is my chance to convert him to a Vikes fan
