The stats were pretty much even in this game.
The difference was Randy Moss plain and simple.
There were two or three big receptions that he made that gave the Pats the game.
Brady and Manning are both great quarter backs its just that Brady has the better receivers because of Moss.
who's had better receivers for 99% of the games in this rivalry? i can't even beleive thats being mentioned. manning has had far better receivers EVERY year, but EVERY year until last year the patriots beat them. oh and brady's best reciver last year? reche caldwell. the same guy who didn't even have a team at the start of this season and who doesn't have one catch this year for the redskins.
give the guy some credit.

Re: Brady vs Manning
Brady had Moss, Stallworth, Welker and Watson while Peyton had Wayne, Clark and Moorehead. and there numbers were pretty even and Brady isn't nearly as smart reading defenses as Peyton is. Peyton makes the calls on the feild, is just on a whole nother level then Brady. Brady has Bellichek to be his brains. He can be a robot quarterback and just have all the physical tools to execute and be elite. Id still say Peyton Manning is the best of this era.

Re: Brady vs Manning
Stupid Brady had washed up Randy Moss, boo hoo.
Brady out performed Manning in the clutch, and lets be honest it's not like Manning didn't have any players on the field.
The way you guys sometimes make it sound Manning is throwing the ball to himself.
What if I think it's unfair that Manning had Reggie Wayne?
I think Manning is a better QB for 90 percent of game compared to Brady, but when I want someone in the clutch I'll take Brady any day of the week.
Just keep yourself comfortable thinking Manning is going to go into New England in the AFC Championship game and win and then you will all feel better that the evil patriots have loss.
Not going to happen.

Re: Brady vs Manning
Let's be realistic here.
I give Brady every piece of credit in the world becasue he's a great QB.
I will say that he has outperformed Manning on occasion.
IMO Manning is the better all around QB.
No one can read defenses like Manning does.
What has hurt the Colts in the past is the defense when they played the Patriots.
It wasn't because Brady is a better QB.
These two are the top 2 in the league but you can't say the QB is better than the other just because their team wins.

Re: Brady vs Manning
Brady outperformed..
Moss. Welker. Stallworth and Watson are better then Wayne. Gonzalez. Moorheade and Clark true..
But Peytons stats were simular due to Addai rippin it up on that screen play.
Peyton had a better running game also.. Addai over Maroney this game
Brady put it down in the clutch and thats what matters

Re: Brady vs Manning
If I was starting a franchise and my only 2 options were Brady or Manning I would take Manning, Smart QB, he hasn't won the big one as many times as Brady. But thats who I would take.
Also Manning isn't afraid to stand at the line and make the proper adjustments.IN THE PITS ON THE RIVER BEDS EVRY VIKING FAN WILL RISE & VAHALLA SHALL REJOICE WITH THE MOST GLORIOUS PRIZE LOMBARDI'S TROPHY
