Miami eventually will turn on himPepp turned on everyone in Minnesota, long before we turned on him. Funny how Joe's stats came from his KC days, you know the end of his career. Daunte couldn't hold Montana's jock if you are comparing prime vs prime.. Montana was smarter, threw less int's, and didn't fumble anywhere near as much as Pepp. Plus he had the respect of his team, and was a leader..Vikings mission to conquer other Land, Steeler Country, Raider Nation &...

DC served Vikings fans well for the most part, silly how some turned :evil:
Taking an average of Daunte's Minnesota Career, and the numbers of Montana's stint in KC, you find the following:
ON AVERAGE:
Attempts:
Daunte = 434.5
Montana = 395
Completions:
Daunte = 280
Montana = 240
Completion Percentage:
Daunte = 64.4%
Montana = 60.65
Yards:
Daunte = 3360.3
Montana = 2713.5
TDS:
Daunte = 23
Montana = 15
INTs:
Daunte = 14.3
Montana = 8
Also, look at win-loss records:
In '93, KC went 11-5. In '94 they went 9-7. That's a 10-6 average (Even though Joe only played in 25 games due to injury).
Eliminating last seasons stats (because we KNOW Daunte's 2-5 record there will skew the numbers), Daunte managed only an 8-8 record over the course of his Minnesota career (2000-2004). If I toss in last seasons stats entirely, the average remains at 8-8.
So, while Daunte threw up better (flashier) numbers with more attempts, more yards, and more TDs, he also turned the ball over more (A LOT more), and failed to win as much.
Bottom line, Montana was a WAAAAAY better QB than Culpepper. Hands down.

C'mon!!!
Taken as a whole, Daunte was not, is not, and never will be as good as Montana. Montana won...he FOUND ways to win. Daunte just rode a good offense to great stats...we saw proof of that last season.

Bradshaw does not follow players that close.

Go Terry, say it like it is. As for Culpepper having a year that statistically puts any of Bradshaws to shame, I believe the man has won some RINGS, and isn't that what we are all in it for.

Leadership problems being on the boat? Come on! I guess your a criminal if you get a lap dance these days. So what if pep had moss, well montana had rice, so that means montana can't be considered one of the best of all time according to him...He's the reason I can't watch fox pregame.
No it is not wrong for Daunte to get a lap dance, but when it happened on ed and edna's boat it was wrong. Not to mention there were minors on the boat. A true leader of a football team wouldnt of gotten himself in that position to begin with. So i agree that daunte wasnt a leader, Matt birk wasnt there, He is way more of a leader then Daunte ever will be.

Oh yeh, Bradshaw........... I spose you think that arrogance works much better, eh?Daunte Culpepper took a hit from Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw during a Thursday interview on 790 The Ticket. "I am not sold on him being a top quarterback," said Bradshaw, an NFL analyst for Fox Sports. "I never was really. ... His best years were with [former Vikings wide receiver] Randy Moss. "Plus, we have the leadership problems now being on the boat. Quarterbacking entails maturity level, teamwork, keeping teammates together and having the respect of them. There's a lot of mending to do here."
Depending on the person, this is either hilarious, or not funny at all.

Ooops, I guess I'm still living in the 70's.
Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?
