    Re: Brad Johnson a Cowboy

Well good luck to him picking up with another team but, as has already been said, he didn't want to be the backup in Minny but is happy to be backup elsewhere?
That part is strange to say the least - still hope it works out for him as I don't bear him any ill-will.
Not sure what the Cowboys think in terms of him being an upgrade over Bledsoe. If Romo gets injured then the offense could be severely restricted in terms of what they might be able to do.

    I think it was more..

He knows that if Tjack is held back.. we have a #2..

and if Romo is hobo'd.. they have no #2..

so it's more of a possibility that he'll play there then here..

especially how the fans ranted at him in his last days..

    gl Bj..

hope it all works out for ya

    Brad speaks

A day after signing with the Cowboys, former Vikings quarterback Brad Johnson spoke in a conference call with the Dallas media.

    Among the highlights:

On his final season with the Vikings, he said: "Obviously, last year wasn't what I would have wanted it to have been, but you know I was 13-10 with a team that was 2-7 without me as a starter the last two years."

Johnson, 38, was signed as the No. 2 quarterback to young starter Tony Romo but made clear he still feels he can play.

As for serving in a so-called mentor role, Johnson said: "I want to see Tony succeed, but I'm not here for my health. My big thing is just to be prepared in case whatever happens."

Thank you, goodbye, and goodluck. Brad has always been a class act and a complete team player. It has NEVER been about just him. He had the deck stacked against him last year, and there was no way he could have succeeded. If at this point if his career he can deal with an owner like Jones.....well, enough said.

    Re: Brad Johnson a Cowboy

I will miss you Brad and I will shed a tear for you :'(

For all you who don't like Johnson I could care less for what you say, Brad like he said helped this team so much. When Culpepper stunk it up and only won two games he took our team and only lost two games putting us closer to the playoffs then so many had anticipated. In two seasons he had a 13-10 record and
without we had 2-7. You know what. While ago people like you wanted to get rid of johnson and they and i forget what happened. He goes and wins the super bowl with tampa bay. You may say he sinks but the super bowl ring on his finger that sadly no viking has won as a viking. I do wish though that he would retire in the Vikings jersey just as he started.

    Tribute:
:'( Brad Johnson, Drafted 1992 more than worth the 9th round, Pick 227.
    :'(

What I would laugh until the next season is if Romo gets hurt Brad goes in and wins the super bowl and retires there. That would be true humor

PS. A 3 year contract ??? If he fills that out he'll be over 40 when he finishes his contract
