Sirius NFL Radio reports that Bengals WR Chris Henry has been arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI/Ohio DUI). Sergeant Paul Lezotte of the Batavia, OH (Clairmont County) Patrol Post has confirmed Henry was pulled over for speeding and subsequently arrested for OVI after field sobriety tests.

According to Lezotte, "He was stopped for speeding, 82 in a posted 65 mile per hour zone on the interstate. The officer asked him to perform field sobriety test, a series of field sobriety tests in which he did and then he was subsequently arrested for O-V-I under the officers observations of Mr. Henry."

Henry was arrested in January after a police officer allegedly saw him pull a pistol on a group of revelers. Officers found a Luger on the back seat of a limousine and a loaded magazine in a gutter where Henry was standing, according to police reports.

He was also arrested on counts of improper exhibition of a firearm and aggravated assault with a firearm, but only charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

The Bengals are on a roll lately with these character guys. It's nice to let another team have this stuff happen for a while.

All these problems are going to flush themselves down the toilet.

I really wanted Henry that year..

I heard he was 1st round talent all the way, but had some attitude issues..

Well I guess it developed into something more..

Man, if being famous lands you in these spots, I am happy where I am.. To bad to see these people piss their careers away like that. I know driving drunk doesn't ruin your career, but it almost happened to K-Rob..

No, I'm just stating that within the realm of professional athletes, it seems like they tend to get money, obviously can't handle it, make a bunch of stupid decisions, and get themselves in trouble.

It has nothing to do with anybody being allowed to make mistakes; not in the least. Actually I would assume many of these people made plenty of mistakes before they had $. Obviously they're higher profile now than when they didn't have money; but as a cohort, professional atheletes screw up a lot.

Yes...oh, and nuns too...lol..

Isn't it nice though to not have the Vikings name associated with any of these stories for a change? I really like Zygi's commitment to keeping only individuals with good character in the organization (easier said than done, I know). I think we have a really good bunch of guys in the starting lineup this year and I'm hopeful that it will carry over onto the field as well.

these guys have the best chance in the world. being able to make a living playing football and they throw it away. its a privelege.
