A whole shitload. I'd like to go with next year's first rounder, probably this years third and fourth. And maybe even another pick from next year. If we could throw a player in to remove a pick or two, I'd consider it.
That is quite a bit to give up for a player coming off a very alarming year. 2.5 Sacks in 14 games! He has 4.5 sacks in his last 21 games! Sure I would like to go after Julius Peppers and try to give him a fresh start. But even a first-round draft pick for someone who seems to be slipping seems to be VERY high.

Why would they what Chester Taylor? They are vested in DeAngelo Williams and seem happy with him and Foster. Also ... a first and second for Peppers is too much ... as said in my previous post.

    Are you kidding me?

    Wow...that's
A LOT! Giving up 4 high-mid round draft picks is crazy for one player. No way would I do that as a GM.
For the 27 year old extremely versatile DE with 6 years of starting experience who averages 10 sacks a season. And it's not all that much if you think about it. 3 picks, a first a 3rd and a 4th spread out over 2 drafts. Maybe 4, but it's for one hell of a player that IMO is the missing piece to our defense.

    Re: Ben Maller's NFL rumors

Peppers will be 28 on the 18th of January. However before missing a game this year, he had started 78 in a row.
He is one year removed from a career high 13 sacks.
I dont know if it was injury, scheme, being game planned, his overall team sucking dog dicks, or a combination of all these, but i would not write him off as slipping.
I mean is Steve Smith slipping?

If he was a restricted free agent, he would certainly command the highest tender of a 1st and 3rd.
I believe he still worth more than that.

i would love to see him here no doubt. id give them this years 1st and 3rd, and next years 2nd or 3rd... for people saying hes slipping, i think that people are just making sure he is blocked.. could you imagine Williams Williams Peppers... who are you going to leave with only 1 blocker?

    Thanks josdin00

    Re: Ben Maller's NFL rumors

One advantage of his poor year is it DOES have the potential to decrease perceived value....

But it's all about what others value him at, too.

    Yes........+110
    No.........-150 -- BoDog

Interesting, if there's a DE I'd like to see us trade for, it's Julius Peppers. His price for a trade would be very high, and his contract would be large, but if there's a guy thats worth it, I think it's Peppers. He's an amazing athlete, great player, and really strong character guy.

    Imagine that defensive line

With the number of passes Kevin Williams knock down already, plus the amount Peppers does, only 50% of passes would even get past the line lol!

If we can get a hold of Julius Peppers I say we go for him.
Now I wwould love that program
I am THE #1 Sidney Rice #18 Fan ever! Don't Be surprised when this kid IS a superstar! He is humble, smart, tough, talented and has alot of character! Takes alot of pride in his work, team, fans and life. Watch out for this kid! I think he is awesome! Everytime he touches the ball its MAGIC!
