Belichick: Pats never got a first-round trade offer for Cassel

Patriots coach Bill Belichick said he never received an offer of a first-round pick for Matt Cassel and consummated a trade that sent the quarterback to the Chiefs "because there really wasn't any interest" among other teams.

He has been strangley quiet in all of this, however, that is kindof how he rolls now isn't it.

I didn't think he was worth a second round pick. I think the Pats were lucky to move him after placing that expensive franchise tag on him.
I expect he will have a very average year with KC, especially if Johnson can't run.
