Behind scenes, assistants deserve their due

Behind scenes, assistants deserve their due

Vikings RB coach Eric Bieniemy — A former NFL back himself, Bieniemy has done a masterful job of helping Adrian Peterson along at the right pace. Peterson has shown a very smooth transition to this level, but his maturity and work ethic has wowed teammates and coaches alike. Many backs come into this league with a world of promise but never reach their potential. Peterson has already surpassed expectations. Bieniemy has also done a wonderful job of keeping Chester Taylor ready as his playing time has dwindled. Since Peterson went down two weeks ago, Taylor has more yards and rushing TDs than any player in the NFL. In fact, Bieniemy's backs are blowing away the rest of the backfields this year and the competition has not been close.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Very nice read my friend.
See it isn't just the Chiller.
;D

Since Peterson went down two weeks ago, Taylor has more yards and rushing TDs than any player in the NFL.
Some of this credit has to go to the O-line coach and his assistants as well.
Seems like the behemouths (players) actually did fit into the Zone Blitz scheme didn't they boys........

Remember what we learned here.
It isn't the size (or lack thereof) of the OL but his times in the short shuttle,
three-cone drill
and bench press that is an indicator of whether or not a player will fit that scheme.
;D
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Most of the time Peterson has been praised for his accomplishment (thus far) he normally mentions Eric Bieniemy for doing a great job with him,
lets just hope he continues to progress.

Of course, that stat means about as much as the "yards passing against" stat for the Vikings. Everyone says the Vikings have a lousy pass defense because we have so many yard passing against us. But teams know they can't run against us so they pass more than they would against other teams.
We run more than pass so our rushing yardage would be highest, too.
