woah that was your first post? way to make an impact brother!

i dont think the bears are that that good, but they sure do look good. 120 points against. crazy good numbers. lets hope someone really really soon can figure out how to beat them.

This weekend is one of the few times in my life that I'll be rooting for the Packers.

napo58, very very good post! one of the better ones I've read on here. And what I liked even more about it is that I really think that if the packers take the philosophy they really do have a very good chance at beating these guys. I think that their weaknesses really cater to the type of offense that the packers have been playing this year. If they can establish any type of run to keep the D somewhat honest Farve could be in for a very big day

I agree for the most part, but Max protect and sending 3 receivers probably isn't going to get us any one on one matchups. The only bulletproof way I can think of to get one on one matchups is to establish a running game to make the bring their safeties up to stop the run.

That defense is FAST ... that is what makes them so tough ... their line is steller obviously, but their speed makes up for any little mistake very quickly.
Now, I don't know about this better than 85' talk ... I have not heard that from ONE creditable source, but they are definitely a mean and aggressive defense that does not miss out on many chances.
Beating them will take a great scheme focusing on taking lumps with the run to set up play action and get over-pursuit ... that will be the main key.
These guys are so quick to the ball you have to let them think the ball is where its not ... Alot of teams have went away from the run because the Bears drop 8 in the box and stuff it and mix and match blitzes so yu cant guess. If teams would stick more with the run and then try some downfield PA passes and some quick slant routes, this Bears team will get in a little trouble ... the way to beat speed is let them run as fast as they want to the wrong spots.
