BOURBONNAIS, Ill. (AP) -- Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler insisted the reaction to his postgame comments last week didn't bother him.
Still, he made a point to smooth things over with wide receiver Devin Hester.
Cutler got off to a rocky start with his new team in the preseason opener, completing only half his 10 passes in a 27-20 loss to Buffalo while throwing more interceptions (one) than touchdowns (zero). He also offended Hester with comments that some interpreted as a swipe at his receiver.
Cutler insisted he didn't mean to offend anyone and there are no problems between the two.
"I didn't read it," Cutler said. "I talked to Devin as soon as I was notified about it. He's fine. I'm fine. People took it out of context. He's our No. 1 receiver. He's done a heck of a job on the field and in the classroom."
Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Re: Bears QB Cutler says he has no problem with Hester
Actually, he should have A BEEF. Hester is not a reciever, and his o=line is a f*cking joke. Once again, the Bears (and fans) are pinning alot of their hopes on Hester as a reciever. Stupid. He is a return man, not a reciever. Kind of pathetic.

He'd be great at screens and fly's, other than that he's garbage.

If Cutler can throw the ball end over end like a kickoff Hester would catch it.

The sad part for Hester, they ruined his record setting momentum to totally shatter any and all records in returning kicks from ST and D."Jereamiah" wrote:

Good for us, bad for Hester, IMHO it is bad for the fans.
They should just go snag a WR.
maybe they will get Marshall before it is all over.
Hope not!
Marshall is throwing a tantrum in a mild manner.
Either they pull an Old Man Davis (Marcus Allen) or they
see if they can get something for him.
Bears would probably pay out the nose.
They NEED a WR.

A team that paid through the nose to get Cutler will have a hard time replenishing their aging defense and drafting great receivers.
They may get marshall, but it's going to be hard to restock the entire cupboard.
A team that can't stop the run of the top division rival should have considered investing in their run defense.
Their road to the superbowl still goes through a running team that dominates them.
I guess they think they will get the wild card. But that is hard to do when you finish 3rd in the division.
