Bears are the pride of the NFC North
    August 27, 2006

This is the third part in a series of eight division-by-division previews featuring my opinion and analysis on each team, plus predictions. The NFC South and NFC West were previewed in our first two installments. Conference Championship, Super Bowl and MVP picks will follow.

Overview: The division was expected to be much tighter until some of the recent bad news out of the Minnesota Vikings' camp. The Bears still have the best defense, an improving offense and maybe even a big-time boost from their return units on special teams. The Vikings, Lions and Packers will all be better but still have some work to do.

CHICAGO BEARS: Clearly, the Bears are the class of the division...
hmm so we were 9-7 last year, and we got better according to this..how does that amount to this division race not being tight?..another complete idiot writer who puts his foot right in his mouth, what a clown
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

I think we have a great shot at taking the North, it should be another tight race though.

Remember, if we had beaten the Steelers (which we could have and should have if we had any coaches on the field during that game) last year. We would have ended up with the same records, with us taking the tie breaker if I remember correctly.

This year I see our coaching making the difference, and having a solid D and Offensive QB who makes very few mistakes shoreing that up.....

If Culpepper had gotten injured in preseason and we would have had Johnson all year we would have had a better record than the Bears and won the division.

I will agree with that statement, but there sure was alot of stink going on in the early season, and yes, Dauntes play was part of it.....

    Bears have a good team.
    But they are the bears.
They will find a way screw the pooch this season.
    They always do.
Since the Tampa Bay Newmans left the division, it's has gone back to a 2-team division for the most part like the old days. Minn and GB.
Sure every few years the Bears or Lions will pop up for a season or two then fade away.
The vikes will be better this year and so will GB.
That 4-12 season for GB was a fluke.
Farve returns to form and that alone is good for 8+ wins.
Let us be honest he is one of the greats as much as we hate him.

Of course these are just my thoughts.

I'll agree with the part that Farve was, and very well could be great still, but with that ghost of an O Line in front of him this season, I think he is going to have more than his hands full of trouble in front of him this season.....

I think last year was a bit of a fluke for them also, but injuries are what really did them in last season.
This season, the lack of an O line will be their down fall.
I have a hard time seeing them win more than 7 games, that puts them way behind the Vikings and Bears. Hell, even the lions could end up with a better record than 7 wins, so that puts GB in the basement again.... ;D

Sounds about right to me, and not even sure I want to give them that many wins. There getting their asses kicked by the bengals right now, 31-0 halftime.... ;D

Yeah, but until either the Bears lose a game or two or we are tied with them, my living with a fellow student who is a Bears fan is going to be very hard!
