Re:Bears hire Martz to lead offense

Forte is no Faulk. Hester and whatever bums at WR they have are no Bruce and Holt.

    I am not worried.

Why would you want little involvement from Greg Olsen? The guy has great hands and led the team in TDs.
Martz has traditionally not used TEs as passing weapons. He couldn't even get Vernon Davis involved in his offense.
To be fair he did not have much of a QB to work with in SF. Also, Vernon had a pretty damn good year. 965 yards and 13 TDs is far from not involved. IMO this is a good thing for the Bears.
+1, Davis had by far his best year under Martz.
358 yards and 2 TDs while starting and playing in all 16 games?
He was injured on and off that year. He missed 3 full games and had to sit frequently in others I think

I think it'll be a good move if he sticks around

Kinda like when people didn't think Dom Capers would come in and fix up that D

I think Martz has some tools to work with there and will get the best outta them

I look for them to add a WR very soon

Good job on finding that picture.

Martz wasn't the OC for the 49ers last year, though. He was out of coaching, completely, doing some part time work for NFLN.

Of course, that was the year that Davis exploded, after having a mediocre year, with the stats I posted, under Martz.

But feel free to post pictures like that without actually knowing the facts. It makes you look smart.
    FYI, I'm the penguin. jeez
    LOL.

    Whoops.

It's a somewhat hostile environment for a Packers fan around here. Sarcasm or self mockery are things I don't see quite as fast over here.

    Sorry.
No worries, not everyone knows I'm a penguin.

Martz sounds very happy about the job with the Bears.

He's still in shock that a team would be so desperate that they would hire him as OC and, to top it off, he gets to tap into Tice's genius.
