Bears get easiest schedule of all 32 teams
NFL serves Bears soft 2006 schedule
"The Bears' schedule, with an opponents' 2005 winning percentage of .445, is ranked easiest of all 32 teams. The Bears face just four 2005 playoff teams.

Re: Bears get easiest schedule of all 32 teams
That makes sense. A Division winner gets the easiest schedule of the season. Let's look at who they have.
Green Bay (2)
Detroit (2)
Minnesota (2)
NY Giants
Seattle
San Fran
St. Louis
Arizona
Tampa
Miami
New England
NY Jets
Buffalo
That's basically the same as ours minus Tampa and the Gints. Anyone know where we are we ranked?

Re: Bears get easiest schedule of all 32 teams
I do not put a lot of stock into that.
Mainly for the fact that that the playoff teams last year from the NFC where not in the playoffs the previous year.
Chicago, New York, Washington, Tampa Bay, and Carolina failed to make the playoffs in 2004. So, I do not think that this should even be a factor at all.
However, I firmly believe that the Bears will tank this year. Why? Remember the year with Jauron where they went something like 13-3 and then bombed the next year? They will do that again this year. Their defense will not be able to win so many games and their inept offense will still have a hard time scoring. Come on, there the Bears!
Couple that with the fact that the Pack blows, 2/3 of the Lions are WR's....that leaves us the Division!

Re: Bears get easiest schedule of all 32 teams
This is a little misleading.
Technically they got a harder schedule than us because they play division champs the Giants and Bucs while we play runners-up Carolina and Washington.
The schedules are nearly the same, but they do have a lower winning percentage ... the only reason their schedule is consider "weaker" though is because they play us twice and we play them twice ... that gives them two vs. a 9-7 and us two vs. an 11-5 ... other than the games against each other ours is easier (although I would rather play the Bucs and Gints than Skins and Panthers)

Re: Bears get easiest schedule of all 32 teams
Don't put too much stock it the "easy" schedule. In all actuality, all schedules within a division are pretty close. And the winning percentage is based on the 2005 season. As we all know, a lot can happen in the off season...

Re: Bears get easiest schedule of all 32 teams
Means nothing. Man the Vikings are flying under the radar this year. Everyone is whining about the number of national games we got this year. I hope Minnesota makes the best of it!
