    Re: bears are done

Muhammed said when he saw Rex go down he almost started praying cause he knew it wasn't good.

Benson has even more leverage now to squeeze more money out of the Bears before he steps onto the practice field.

Hutchinson may be penciled in as the new starter, but my money is on Orton to take over. He has more confidence and a better arm.

No matter how you slice it, i didn't like the Bears chances before this and now its just confirmed, all the more reason I am glad the vikes pulled Daunte when they did.

My guess is they will do the same against the Jets, if the Vikes get a TD in any of their first 3 series, I think they will pull Daunte again.

Who's to say that the Bears are done?

The unexpected loss in the preseason or early in the regular season can be the start of a great Superbowl run.

    Warner with the Rams
    Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh
    Brady and the Patriots

I'm not saying that the Bears are going to win it all, I'm just saying that it's happened before, so don't count them out...yet.

But I think they will make a trade though.

Besides, Benson will be running the ball 30 times a game.
    Who would they trade???
Well, who are the QB's on the FA market now?

Is Quincy Carter on the FA market now?

I would take him two over Hutchinson any day.

I think the Bears will be better with Orton anyways.....otherwise, they shold go get Quincy Carter or bring back Kordell Stewart, or maybe Jeff Blake....all free agents, I think...

Didn't the bears just cut jeff george not that he would be their salvation or anything but he is definently a vetern presense at the helm. Funny thing about this is the one friend of my at work that is a bears fan was just saying that he felt his boys would fair well this year if rex didn't get hurt.
This year the Vikes D is really going to find out if Farve tastes like chicken and to any Charger fans

    THE CHARGERS SUCK!

I was impressed with Orton in the HOF game. I think they should start Orton, because Hutchinson is not a very good QB

You know, the Packer fans still are arguing over whether or not Favre is a positive or a negative for us (seriously, they are). Some contend that the turnovers and fading in big games is reason enough to jettison him for Rodgers.

The one thing they forget is durability. Favre (or Culpepper) may make some dumb mistakes (Favre/interceptions, Pepper/fumbles), but at least he's in there making good plays to counter them, instead of not knowing whether or not he's going to be there week to week.
Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?

    Welcome to the NFC North.

they only have hutchenson behind him right? this is a huge set-back and i was hoping for more competition in the division this year... oh well, not going to complain.
