Bears' big WR is Roy Williams*
Bears' big WR is Roy Williams*
Not sure if this will really help, but he is a bit better than anything they have. Guess that isn't saying much for ROY Williams. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Bears' big WR is Roy Williams*
Don't like this.
Roy was pretty damn good in Detroit, but sucked in Dallas. Hopefully a change of scenery is NOT what he needs, because with a real receiver, the Bears can hurt some teams... (When Cutler isn't throwing to the other team or milking an injury)

Re: Bears' big WR is Roy Williams*
Bears could be hit with tampering charges on this one.
Note from the league:
“Notwithstanding a media announcement by a club regarding the termination or waiver request of one of its players, another club cannot contact such player or his agent prior to the player appearing on a personnel notice as a termination. A club that violates this rule is guilty of tampering and subject to discipline by the Commissioner. A player is not officially terminated from his contract until such notification appears on the Personnel Notice.”
Since Vince Young, Willis McGahee and Roy Williams were all cut before the personnel notice came out today, the Eagles, Broncos and Bears could all be hit with tampering charges.

If Roy is the best Chicago could do, I'm happy. I was afraid the Bears would get a really good WR. Don't get me wrong Roy has shown some spark at times but since we knew Chicago was going to sign some WR, this is a bit of a relief.

They were saying on Sirius today that his best years were when he and Martz were together.

And Roy did catch 2 TD passes against the Vikings in the Cowboys game game last year so... It's even worse when you realize Roy only had 5 TD catches all year.
