I kinda have to root on the Bears for the rest of this season... My father is 57 and was born and raised in Chicago, so all the Chicago teams are his favorite.. We have a mutual agreement that we will root for each others team when they don't play each other..

So with the Vikings out of the running for the playoffs, I told my father that I would root on his Bears until either they are eliminated, or win the SB... Family respect my friends, I hope everyone can understand that..
My wife's family is from IL and they are all Bears fans.
It just means more opportunities to bet.
    Definately won't root for them.

My wife's family are also all Bears fans. We were over at her brother's house watching the game with her parents, aunt, uncle,......... a lot of people. When the final field goal went in, they were all jumping around and yelling.

I felt left out, so I thought I should yell something, too.

Has anyone else ever had their mother-in-law try to beat them up?

    Re: Bears Bandwagon

I lived in IL for 5 years, and was the only Vikings fan in a sea of Bears fans and Rams fans (we were close to St. Louis too).
I can just imagine how bad it is down there now...

I am not going to be pulling fro the Bears.
And it has nothing to do with the Bears either.
I am pulling for the Saints because I like the whole Cinderella Story thing.
I really hope they make the super bowl.

I will also be pulling for the NFC in the SB regardless of who is in.
I dislike both NE or Indy more than the Bears, so if it comes down to it, I will be cheering for Rex Gross-man if I have to.

    You're not a true fan.

    Not sure, that's your decision.
I'm only in the false fan category for this offseason, something different.

I was living in Waukegan IL when the Bears won the Superbowl in 85, and it was hell!

    Go Saints!

How do you think Packer fans feel?

You know they hate the bears more than anybody.

I am sure they are just ticked.
    Good for them.....

I hear the bear fans already.

A repeat of the 85 Superbowl.

    I sure hope not.
